What Are Bunions?
Bunions are painful, hard growths that protrude from the side of the foot below the big toe. Bunions affect twice as many women then man because women wear high heeled shoes. Bunions are mainly a hereditary problem, due to inherited bone structure. Surgery is an option if the bone overgrowth is massive and very painful.

What Causes Bunions?
Bunions are salt deposits caused by influenza, tonsillitis, gout, poor metabolism, improper nutrition, rheumatic infections, and uncomfortable shoes.

Homeopathic Remedies For Bunions

  • Arnica
    Use internally or as a topical cream to relieve the pain and discomfort from bunions.
  • Calcarea Phosphoricum
    Weak memory, mental strain. Depression. Cranky, bad-tempered. Obstinate. Grumpy. Resentment over feeling of exaggerated responsibility for everyone. deep rooted fear of stepping into the future, Feels that there is insufficient support. Tongue coated white. defective bone growth. cannot wake up in the morning

  • Sulphur
    Beneficial for bunions. Person is thirsty, ho with easy perspiration. Intelligent, creative. Skin issues. Issues are worse at night. Worse in a warm of the bed, in hot shower or bath.

Other Supports for Bunions

  • Castor oil
    • Castor oil packs are anti-inflammatory and help relieving pain and discomfort.
  • Footwear
    • Try to wear running shoes, as much as possible. Running shoes have amore space in toe area and are made from softer materials than regular shoes
    • Keep your feet comfortable by wearing good quality, well fitting shoes.
    • Flip flops and high heels are not kind to your feet and will cause more pain
  • Epsom Salt Foot Baths
    • Soak feet in 1/2 cup of Epsom salts in bucket of warm water for 30 minutes every day to help with bunions.
  • Footwear
    • Try to wear running shoes, as much as possible. Running shoes have amore space in toe area and are made from softer materials than regular shoes
    • Keep your feet comfortable by wearing good quality, well fitting shoes.

  • Iodine
    • Iodine can be beneficial for bunions both topically and orally.
    • Iodine cream which can be applied, or normal iodine can be combined with castor oil and massaged over the toe joint.
    • Use lemon juice and iodine to treat bunions. Combine equal parts of the ingredients and apply topically to the sore spots.
  • Massage The Bunion
    • Castor oil packs are anti-inflammatory and help relieving pain and discomfort.
    • Use castor oil, olive or coconut oil and add a few drops of Lavender essential oil, Wintergreen or Fir to the oil
    • Use castor oil, olive or coconut oil.
    • Massage the big toe, all the way around the ball of the foot as well as the actual bunion.
    • It feels good to work on all the toes to help with flexibility.
    • Gently pull on the big toe and rotate it.
    • Massage for about ten minutes per foot.
    • Do this on a daily basis

Recipe To Get Rid of Bunions

Option #1 - internally taken bunion treatment with bay leaves

  • Pour 10 oz  of water over a tablespoon of crushed bay leaves. Cook for 5 minutes and keep in a thermos overnight.
  • Strain the liquid in the morning and take small sips throughout the day. Do not drink it all at once.
  • Do the same for three days in a row, and make sure you prepare a fresh drink every evening.
  • Repeat the treatment after a week.
  • The only thing that may surprise you is the frequent urination. This is normal. It shows that the salt in your body is dissolving.
  • You should notice some improvement after 10 days. You’ll notice joint pain disappearing and you will feel much better.
  • The bay leaf treatment should last for 2 months and your bunions will eventually disappear.

Option #2 - topical bunion treatment treatment with bay leaves

  • Finely crush 5 large bay leaves and pour in 100 ml of 96% alcohol.
  • Leave it for a week and strain.
  • Apply this home remedy on your bunions.
  • For better results soak your feet in this mixture before you start the remedy in 3L of warm water with1 tablespoon of baking soda.
  • Dry your feet with a towel, apply the remedy and put on some cotton socks.
